Imo Deputy Gov in tears

Imo Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere, in a press release signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Uche Onwuchekwa, described the killing of Mrs. Bridget Agbahime in Kano as unwholesome, barbaric and primitive also called on the Security agencies to expedite action and ensure that  every partaker of the condemnable act is made to face the wrath of the law.
He regretted that such condemnable acts should be happening at a time Nigerians should be united in love and patriotism as a nation to face the daunting challenges of economic recession, security and other sociopolitical issues.
His words in parts; “I read in shock and  to confirm that it truly happened in Kano made me broke down in tears. I cannot come to terms with this reality that such can still happen in the 21st century. And to add salt to  injury, I realized the one who was murdered in cold blood was my own sister from Mbaitoli”.
Prince Madumere also stressed that no one has the right to take the life of any citizen or even foreigners under the guise of religion or tradition.
He therefore called for justice for the soul of Abgahime whose death he stated was most painful and must be condemned by all and sundry.
Prince Madumere commended  Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State and other eminent Nigerians for condemning the bloody act in its entirety.
He, however, called on all those concerned especially the family members who are pained by the act to remain calm since the Police and other security agencies have already made arrests and are on the trail of others who partook in the act, while assuring that justice must take its course.
He prayed for the repose of the soul of late Bridget Agbahime and for God to grant the family members the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
