Police chief warns against dangerous displays by cyclists at funerals

Youths have been advised to jettison acts that could ruin their future and send them to untimely grave.
Ahiazu Mbaise Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Superintendent of Police (SP) Danjuma Ragga, gave the advice while reacting to incessant accident and carnage occasioned by motorcyclists (okada) convoys during funerals.
He reminded commercial motorcyclists that they are a very vital segment of the society and prayed them to shun risky behaviours and use any position they find themselves in, no matter how lowly placed to impact positively on the society.
SP Danjuma said the division has high regard for them and urged them to work in tandem with the police to fish out the bad eggs among them as well as report activities of hoodlums in their areas of operation for sustainable peace and security.
The DPO cautioned deceased families against engaging okada riders in convoys at funerals, warning against inimical acts that constitute public nuisance.
