AAMA Conference ends with thanksgiving

The three-day All Anglican Men’s Association (AAMA) Conference of the Anglican Diocese of Owerri held at Holy Trinity Church Obazu Mbieri, was rounded off with a thanksgiving service last Sunday.
In his charge at the occasion, the Anglican Bishop of Owerri, Rt. Rev. Cyril C. Okorocha, PhD, called on men to take up their responsibility in a Godly manner that resembles Jesus Christ.
The prelate emphasized the need for men to fight the social vices bedeviling the society such as sexual immorality, telling lies cheating and others, reminding them of the need to assist the widows and the  less-privileged in the society  and urged them to build strong foundation anchored in Christ for their various homes which make up the society.
Preaching the sermon on the theme of the conference, the guest preacher, Professor Lazarus Tekdek, called on Christians to identify why they are Christians by living lives that differentiate them from non-Christians.
He encouraged the men to return to God, embrace the word of God by reading the Bible always and practicalizing their Christianity through the bible.
