Emmanuel Anglican Church Enugu holds Youth harvest

The Emmanuel Anglican Church, Achara Layout, Enugu, has held its annual youth harvest for 2016, where the Vicar, Ven. Ginikanwa Ezeabii, encouraged Christians to cultivate the habit of giving.
Ven Ezeabii reminded the congregation that there is a biblical injunction which says “give and it shall be given unto you”, adding that those who do not obey can simply be described as church goers.
According to him, failure to give could be the reason why some Christians remain wretched.
The archdeacon, who preached on the theme, “Giving it all”, quoted Luke 6:38 which states, Give and it will be given to  you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over will be put into your bosom.  For with the same measure that you used it will be measured back to you”.
He told the congregation that God owns us and everything we have and so, there is no reason for us to hold back the things freely given to us.
He condemned youths who prefer to use expensive phones than offer to Christ and called upon them to assess themselves on whether they are obeying God’s instructions.
Some Christians, he said, sing and clap loudest in Church only to donate pittance, praying God to have mercy on us all who have not been living according to the dictates of God in this aspect.
Oluchi Ogbodo read the lesson in the service, taken from 2nd Corinthians Chapter 5.
