The Imo State police command has issued a red alert to criminals operating in the state to relocate or face the full weight of the law.
This warning was issued last week by the Imo State police boss, Mr. Taiwo Lakanu, while briefing journalists on the increasing crime wave and efforts by his command to stem the tide.
C.P. Lakanu, who praised the commitments and efforts of his men and officers, said that over 30 suspects have been arrested, and some charged to court in the last three months.
The police commissioner, who fielded questions at the press briefing, said that the command would not rest on its oars until the last criminal is flushed out from the state.
He gave the breakdown of the activities of the hoodlums as; kidnapping, armed robbery, house breaking/stealing, vandalization of NEPA cables, child-trafficking and others.
