Methodist Prelate tasks Buhari on economy … Calls for quick government intervention to save Nigerians

The Prelate, Methodist Church, Nigeria, Dr. Chukwuemeka Uche, has counseled President Muhammed Buhari to show a human face in his administration and change ministers and political advisers who constitute stumbling blocks in bringing succour to Nigerians.
The prelate gave the advice recently in Akure, Ondo State, where he had gone to dedicate the new Methodist Cathedral, the Methodist Event Centre and the new Bishop’s House.
Delivering a sermon at the Methodist Cathedral Church, Gboge, Archbishop Uche lamented that nothing is working in the country with workers’ salaries unpaid in many states while pensioners are dying of hunger owing to non-payment of their allowances.
In his words; “we are blessed in this country but the management of these resources is problem; we need to do everything possible to see our land experiencing buoyancy again”.
He added that Nigeria did not expect the change they are getting now when they voted for him in 2015.
The prelate then challenged the church to bring the country out of the wood through ceaseless prayers as he hailed the Methodist Bishop of Owo, Rt. Rev. Adegbite for his laudable projects that have changed the face of the diocese.
