Ikeduru Synod kicks off Thursday October 13, at Amakohia

The 2nd session of the 3rd synod of the Anglican Diocese of Ikeduru begins on Thursday, October 13, and ends Sunday, October 16th at St John’s Church, Owu-Amakohia, Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State.
The theme of the four-day event is “Cultivating contentment as a flower of heaven: An appraisal”.
Among the highlights are a courtesy call on the traditional ruler of Owu-Binubi Autonomous community after which the Bishop, Rt. Rev. Emma Maduwike, will declare the commencement of the synod at 6pm on Thursday, October 13, 2016.
On Friday, October 14, there will be presentation of reports at plenary sessions.
Saturday is the important occasion of the presentation of the president’s address (Bishop’s charge) at 11 a.m. while the former Governor of Imo State, Chief (Dr.) Ikedi Ohakim will deliver the keynote address.
The synod will then be rounded off on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at 10a.m with the synod thanksgiving service and fund-raising for diocesan projects.
