Economic recession should not dampen your faith in God -Bishop

Anglican Bishop of  Egbu, Rt. Rev. Geoffrey Okorafor, has urged Christians not to allow the horrifying experience they were going through in the country to dampen their faith in God. He  advised  that they should rather express gratitude always to God in the midst of the excruciating pains occasioned by the economic recession in the land.
Bishop Okorafor, who made the remarks during a thanksgiving service at St. Michael’s and All Angels Anglican Church, Umudibia, Nekede, Owerri West LGA, Imo State maintained that every believer should be thankful to God especially in times of difficulties and pains. He regretted that some faithful question God in adversities and urged for a change in their perception.
Bishop Okorafor also enjoined them to abhor selfishness in the prevailing  difficult times,  advising that  they should  help those they are better than.
He expressed disgust at those sycophants who eulogise leaders both at the national and state levels known to be responsible for the pain in the land and was particularly irked at the plight of pensioners in Imo State.
The Bishop congratulated Rev Canon Ifeanyichukwu Onyekecha and family who at the service celebrated his15th ordination anniversary, 10th wedding anniversary and the thanksgiving of a baby, Nmachimerem Nancy.  In his brief acknowledgment the celebrant, Canon Onyegecha said he was overwhelmed  at the amazing grace of God on his ministry and family.
