Imo CP assures Imo people of police protection

Imo State Commissioner of Police (CP) Taiwo Lakanu has reassured the public of the commitment of the police to fighting crime and criminality.
He gave the reassurance when he visited the newly commissioned Ogbe Ahiara police post in Ahiazu Mbaise LGA.
CP Lakanu expressed gratitude to the Chairman, Chris VI Hotel, Eke Ahiara, Sir. Sebastine Ekeanyanwu, for single handedly building the police post and urged the people to support the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Superintendent of Police (SP) Danjuma Ragga, and the men to sustain low crime rate in the area.
The Police Commissioner commended the people for the unity of purpose and encouraged them to embrace community policing for watertight security.
Welcoming the CP to the new police post, the donor, Sir. Ekeanyanwu lauded him for giving approval to the outpost, reiterating that the take off will bring police presence closer to the communities and reduce crime.
In their separate speeches, the Ogbe Ahiara traditional ruler, Eze Patrick lhuoma and the Traditional Prime Minister Nnarambia, Chief Fregidan Adi said they were impressed that the new police post has been realized and prayed the CP to post needed manpower for its immediate take-off.
Present at the visit include, Ugoeze Victoria lhuoma, Nze Vin Onuoha, Isinze Law Efekalam, Chief Stan Onuoha, Chief Chris lhuoma, Chief Patrick Ihuoma, lmo Community Watch (ICW) Co-ordinator Ogbe Ahiara – Mr. Finian Odom, Mr. Stan Kabor, Hon. Ifeanyi Eke, Mr. Issac Anyanwu of Orient FM/TV Owerri, among others.
