The Primate Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion Most Rev. Nicholas Okoh will tomorrow at the Cathedral Church of Our Lord (CATOL), Owerri consecrate four new bishops for the Anglican Communion.
The bishop-elect are, Ven. Yohanna Audu, Ven. Augustine Ohilebo, Ven. Rufus Adepoju and Ven. Godwin Adeyi.
Ven. Audu was born in Taraba State in 1965 and finished his primary education in 1979. He had his secondary education at the Science Secondary School Jalingo. He later obtained his Diploma in Theology at St. Francis of Assisi, Zaria Kaduna State. He is pursuing his higher degree at the same institution. He is an Archdeacon at the All Saints Cathedral Damaturu in Yobe State. He is married with children.
Ven. Audu was full of thanks to God for his elevation and promised to do his best in order to fulfill his ministry.
Ven. Augustine Ohilebo is presently serving at St. John’s Anglican Church Idumebo, Ekpoma, in the Diocese of Esan in Edo State.
He had his primary and secondary education at Okeora and later read Theology at College of Theology Ekpoma also in Edo State. He is currently pursuing his Master’s degree at Ambrose Ali University Edo State.
On his present elevation to a higher calling, he said that “it is an added responsibility; adding that Christianity without cross is zero”. He is married with children.
Ven. Godwin Adeyi Robinson is presently serving in the Anglican Diocese of Kubwa in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja. The 51 year old cleric is from Benue State.
He had his primary education at Army children’s school Ohurkpo and his secondary education at Command Secondary school Kaduna. He read theology at Immanuel College of Theology Ibadan, and his higher degree at ECWA Theological seminary Jos, he is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in the same institution.
On his present elevation, he said that he saw it as a challenge and the need to put more efforts, in God’s service. He is married with children.
Ven. Adepoju Rufus is currently serving at St. Paul’s Anglican Church Emure, Ekiti in the Diocese of Ekiti.
He had his primary education at St Philip’s Primary School Ekiti and his Secondary education at Comprehensive High school Osin.
He proceeded to Immanuel College of Theology Ibadan, and his higher degree at Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife where he also doing his PhD programme.
Ven. Adepoju sees his present elevation as call for more responsibility and prayed to God for success and sustenance.
