Sam Okwaraji Foundation plans N700m fund launch

The Sam Okwaraji Foundation is organizing a fund-raising for N700 million for the building of Sam Okwaraji Sport and Youth Development Centre at Umudioka Orlu Imo State, the home town of the late Football Star.
Mr. Pat Okwaraji, elder brother of the Soccer  Legend who died playing for Nigeria during a World Cup qualifying match in 1989, disclosed this when he visited the Imo State Football  Association Chairman, Chief Amanze Uchegbulam, in Owerri.
He said Sam Okwaraji deserved honours  as a patriotic  Nigeria  and role model who successfully combined football with academics as he was about to obtain his PhD at 24 before his untimely death.
Receiving Mr. Okwaraji , the Imo FA Chairman Chief Uchegbulam pledged the FA’s full support for the event.
