Senator Obasi goes home

A distinguished former Senator representing Owerri Zone, His Royal Highness, Eze Dr. Isidore Obasi, the traditional ruler of Ihitteafoukwu Autonomous Community who died recently at the age of 82 was buried yesterday.
According to a press release from the Eze’s Palace of Peace, the distinguished Senator who passed on after a brief illness, served as  the member  of House of Representatives from 1979 to 1983. Because of his Legislative performances, he was elected as the Senator Representing Owerri Senatorial zone in 1983 when the military struck to abort the political and democratic process.
Burial processes began on Friday 11th August at 2: pm, when the body was from the mortuary at Ogbor Nguru for series of stopover as it moves in convoy of motorcade.
His Royal Highness Eze Dr. Isidore Obasi is survived by his wife, Ugoeze Catherine Obasi, three sons, Chidi Obasi, Nnamdi Obasi and Uzodinma Obasi and with two daughters, Ogechi Obasi and Ihuoma Obasi.
While serving both House of Representatives and the Senate he left behind a legacy of eloquence.
