Countdown to Heartland’s NPFL dream … 8 games to go

The countdown has started for Heartland fc to realize their dreams to get back to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) where they fell from.
Heartland fc were relegated last season to the 2nd tier Nigerian National League(NNL) after a very poor season.
But, soon after, the Imo State government intervened and entirely changed the clubs administration, appointing the right people for the job and also recruiting new young players to add to the older ones left.
The chairman, manager and staff members of Heartland fc formed a formidable team while the team consistently put smiles on the faces of fans. They are currently topping the NNL table with six points adrift the second place team. Heartland, however lost their last league match, which if they had won they would be cruising on the top of the table with 9 points but as things  turned in their favour, their sister club Papilo Fc won their last game against one of the clubs chasing Heartland on the top. This did Heartland a favour.
The team are 8 games to their return to the NPFL,their rightful place and analysts says that if the boys continue to play as a unit, knowing that their fate lies in their own hand, their promotion will be a reality.
Heartland Fc will welcome My People Fc at Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri today. Officials of the club urged the fans both in and outside Imo state to come in their numbers to support and cheer their team to victory.
