… And Charley Boy begs Buhari on Biafra, others

Ace entertainer activist and leader of the Ourmumudondo Movement, Charles Oputa, has appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to do something to clam down the rising tension in the country.
In an open letter to the President recently, Oputa, popularly called Charley Boy, reminded the President that that country is in a big mess.
“Mr. President Sir, most Nigerians are hopeless helpless, fearful, aggrieved and have been brutalized by poverty created by the status quo to terrorize my people”, he stated.
Charley Boy stated that the nation had high hopes when the president was elected but regretted that the president surrounded himself with people who are not committed to the Nigeria project and had disappointed the people.
He recalled the death of more than three million people during the civil war when he was 17 years old and stated that the war would have been avoided on the conference table.
On the Operation Python Dance, which he said was “uppermost” in his heart, he pleaded with the president to show more commitment in safeguarding lives and property as well as promoting peace and unity.
He reminded the president of his wife’s assertion that his government had been hijacked by people who do not really care about Nigeria, stating; that as a father, it is very wrong to show your children that you have a favourite”.
He called for dialogue than use of force.
“My President, I bare my heart out in this letter with great respect and humility… Baba, make Naija no spoil for your hand O!!!” the activist stated.
