The 3rd Session of the 3rd Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Ikeduru will be rounded off today with special thanksgiving service at the St. Simon’s Anglican Church Ugiri-Ike in the Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State which will be presided over by Rt. Rev. Emmanuel Maduwike JP, Bishop Anglican Diocese of Ikeduru.
The event, the apex gathering of the faithful, the clergy and the Bishop, during which important decisions are taken, kicked off last Thursday, October 12m 2017.
The highpoint of the auspicious event which attracted persons from within and outside the Diocese was the presentation of the Bishop’s Presidential address which focused on the theme of the synod – “Jesus Christ, the Boundary Breaker” (Lk. 19:1-10). The exposition was not only enriching but fulfilling.
Today’s special thanksgiving service will feature, among other activities, cutting of the synod cake, presentation of awards to deserving sons and daughters of the Diocese and friends of the Diocese.
There will also be fund raising to support ongoing Diocesan projects. A communiqué is expected to issued at the end of the synod
