Egbu Knights elect officers

Knights of St. Christopher, Egbu council, have elected new officers to run the affairs of the Council for the next three years.
The election took place at the end of a three-day 2017 Chapter meeting of the council held recently at the Cathedral Church of All Saints, Egbu in Owerri North LGA of Imo State.
Sir Chukwueloka Okeke emerged the chairman of the council. He was the President of the caretaker committee of the council which was inaugurated on March 18, 2017.
Before the election, Sir Okeke presented an 11-page report of the activities of the committee in which he highlighted the challenges facing the council, which prompted the committee to set up sub-committees to advise on those challenges.
In the election presided over by the Bishop and assisted by the chaplains of the Council, Ven Nathan Amaechi and Rev canon Daniel Emuka, Sir Chukwueloka Tim Okeke emerged  unopposed as well as Dame Angy Uba as Deputy president.
Others include Sir Ezinwa Sam N. Ajoku  as Secretary, Dame Chioma Ugwuanya Assistant Secretary, Sir Benjamin O. Ejiogu, Treasurer and Sir Ray Mbonu, as Financial Secretary.
Also elected were Sir C.D. Ngoka, Publicity secretary, Sir Samuel Amadi, Flag Officer, Sir Ben A. Anah. Sergeant@arm, with Dame Eunice Onyeledo as Welfare Officer. Sir Arthur Nkwocha, emerged as Legal Adviser while, Sir Dennis Echebima, and Sir Dennis N.O. Alozieh emerged as join-auditors.
In his post election speech, the President elect, Sir Okeke thanked members of the Council for the confidence and trust reposed in them. He pleaded for their unalloyed support and fervent prayers.
