Onyewuchi boosts electricity supply in Federal Housing Estate

A member of the House of Representatives representing Owerri Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ezenwa Onyewuchi, penultimate Friday paid a visit to Federal  Housing Estate, Umuguma New Owerri, Imo State during which he commissioned a new 500KVA transformer he attracted and installed for the inhabitants of Road 7 extension of the estate.
In his opening speech at the occasion that attracted a large crowd of residents across the political parties in the area, the estate chairman, Prince Olumba Njemanze, expressed gratitude to Hon. Onyewuchi for relieving them from the burden of lack of electricity due to lack of transformer since six years, noting that it was marvelous that the Federal Law Maker responded to their request two weeks after a delegation has met him.
The chairman then assured Rt. Hon. Onyewuchi of their massive support in his future political ambition, adding that the infrastructure stands as his campaign strategy.
Some members of the Road 7 extension of the estate which include Barr. Okoro, Mr. R. Nwaiwu, Jeo Nwachukwu and others equally hailed the law maker for making them proud.
They specially poured encomium on a secial invitee, Chief Christian Oweaya Anukam KSM in facilitating their stay in federal housing estate and for his development strides in Owerri Municipal and federal constituency in general.
Chief (Dr) Oweaya Anukam (Agbwodike Izu) in his response praised the house member for touching the lives of the people by giving them light, stating that he belongs to all the parties and supports any politican that does good to the people.  Chief Oweaya recalled that Hon. Chike Okafor of Okigwe South constituency was able to emerge victorious in the last election because of his attitude to his people, urging others to emulate him.
He then called on the citizens, who have no voter’s card but are up to 18 years of age to go and register to be eligible to vote at elections.  Chief Anukam then thanked the law maker for giving employment and empowerment to the people of his constituency and urged others to do the same
Speaking at the occasion, Chief Ezenwa Onyewuchi thanked them for massive turn out at the ceremony, describing it as a happy occasion for him to share with them adding that a difference has been created as history records a difference.  He recalled that they requested for a transformer, but he gave them a sub-station like others.  Hon. Onyewuchi then listed his other achievements in his constituents such as provision of transformers to Ugwu Ekwema area, Relief market, IMSU, Bishop court, as well as Awaka and other places, noting that he has no uncompleted project.  He promised to do more.
