Owerri Diocesan Mothers’ Union conference kicks off Thursday

The 27th Bi-ennial Diocesan Mothers’ Union Conference of the Diocese of Owerri kicks off on Thursday, Nov 9, at St John’s Church, New Owerri.
The four-day conference which ends on Sunday, Nov 12, with a thanksgiving service has as its theme, “Christ in you the Hope of Glory (Col. 1:27) (Living Life in Christ Jesus)
It will feature, among others, the reading of the presidential address by the wife of the Bishop, Dr. (Mrs) Eunice Okorocha and the launch of the calendar and magazine on Saturday, Nov 11.
The cutting of the conference cake, decoration of conference mothers and recognition of some other members of the union will take place on Sunday, Nov 12, when the thanksgiving takes place.
A release in Owerri stated that all was set for the conference and that the Bishop, Rt. Rev. Cyril C. Okorocha PhD, will grace the occasion.
In her remarks, the President of the Women’s Ministries, Dr. (Mrs) Eunice Iheoma Okorocha, expressed confidence that this year’s conference will yield the needed result, especially in guarding the gospel of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
She, however, called on the Christian faithful to sue the opportunity to pray to God for mercy upon the church and all the nation.
