Owerri Diocesan women conference ends today with thanksgiving

By Our Reporter
The 27th Bi-ennial conference of the Mothers’ Union, Owerri Anglican Diocese, ends today with a thanksgiving service at St. John’s Church, New Owerri, venue of the conference.
Today’s service will  feature, among other things, the cutting of the conference cake, decoration of conference Mothers as well as the recognition of some outstanding members of the union.
President of the Women’s Ministries and wife of the Bishop, Dr. (Mrs.) Eunice Iheoma Okorocha, yesterday, delivered her Presidential Address while the calendar and magazine of the union were also launched.
The conference kicked off on Thursday, Nov. 9, with the theme: Christ in you the Hope of Glory (Col. 1:27); Living Life in Christ Jesus.
Participants who spoke to Christian Voice yesterday applauded the organizers of the conference and paid special compliments to the President, Dr (Mrs.) Okorocha, for her scholarly presentation during the conference.
Dr (Mrs.) Okorocha, fondly called Mama Owerre, had earlier remarked that she was confident that the conference would yield the needed results, especially in guarding the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, in  keeping with the theme of this year’s synod of the Diocese.
