AAMA conference ends today with thanksgiving

The fourth combined conference of All Anglican Men Association (AAMA) and All Christian Fathers’ Fellowship (ACFF) in the Diocese of Owerri ends today with a thanksgiving service at St. Thomas (Ang.) Church, Eziama Obiato in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State, venue of the conference.
The conference, which kicked off Friday, May 11, was presided over by the Anglican Bishop of Owerri, Rt. Rev. Cyril C. Okorocha PhD, who is also the President of ACFF and AAMA.
Highlights of the conference which has the theme, “Where Are the Youths?  A Question of the Future of the Nation and the Next Generation included Bible study, seminars/talks and an open forum designed to address the needs of the youths, who are the future generation, as well as the problems of men and family.
Bishop Okorocha, yesterday, delivered his scholarly Presidential Address which turned out to be another intellectual harvest.
A release earlier signed by the Diocesan Coordinator of the men’s group, Sir (Engr.) Baldwin Onozie, which urged full participation by members, described the activities at the conference as exciting and colourful.
There were also reports from parishes and Archdeaconries which gave insight into how the men have faired since the inception of the Association.
The conference passed resolutions on aspects of the ministry of fathers in the church and the home.
