The Anglican Bishop of Owerri, Rt. Rev. C.C. Okorocha Ph.D has charged all faithful in the Diocese of Owerri, to remain prayerful and hopeful, as a panacea to fighting against what he termed “abomination that causes desolation,” which has taken over in churches and society.
Bishop Okorocha, who gave this charge while commenting at the end of a special Diocesan Prayer Gathering, organized at the Cathedral Church of the Transfiguration of Our Lord (CATOL) Owerri last Wednesday, urged Christians and other people of Nigeria, to look up to God in the prevailing circumstances in the country.
He noted that God is not unjust, and would step in for the Diocese of Owerri in its present travails, as well as in the economic, social and political situation of this country.
It would be recalled that the prayer gathering was a solemn assembly to which all parishes and stations in the Anglican Diocese of Owerri were asked to attend, including the clergy and wives, for God to intervene in the present happenings in both church, states and the nation, Nigeria.
