Bishop lays foundation stone of FECOLART Chapel

Penultimate Monday, the Anglican Bishop of Owerri, Rt. Revd Cyril C. Okorocha Ph.D, visited the Anglican Chapel site of the Federal College of Land Resources Technology (FECOLART) Oforola where he performed the cutting of the sod, laid the foundation stone of the chapel building and named it All Saints’ Chapel, FECOLART.
In his legendary selflessness, Bishop Okorocha pledged to sink a water borehole at the Chapel,  donate N200,000 and 500 blocks and pay for the roofing of the Chapel.  As at the time of going to press, the promised water borehole had become functional while the 500 blocks had landed at the site.
Shortly before the aforesaid ceremony, the prelate paid a courtesy visit to the provost of the institution, Dr. Sir Oluyemi Solomon Akande, and other principal staff members of the college who not only gave him a warm reception but also accompanied him to the chapel site.
Also present at the occasion were the Archdeacon of Avu, Venerable Mike Amadi; the Vicar of Oforola Parish, Revd Chidi Nlemchukwu; the Chaplain of All Saints’ Chapel, FECOLART, Engr. Nelson Onyema and the Bishop’s Assistant Chaplain, Revd Canon Uneze Ukaegbu.  Some clergymen from Avu Archdeaconry and many Anglican parishioners of Oforola were in attendance
