Christians, especially members of the knighthood order have called upon to ensure that their efforts and services in the church do not go in vain but to strive hard to inherit the kingdom of eternal life.
The Anglican Bishop of Isi Mbano Diocese, Rt. Rev. Godson U. Ukanwa Ph.D (JP) made this call while delivering a keynote address last weekend during the Diocesan Knights Retreat held at Cathedral Church of Christ, Ezihe in Isiala Mbano local government area of Imo State.
Speaking on the theme “Eternal life-A hope that breaks the hopelessness of existence” (Luke 10:20). Bishop Ukanwa Ph.D, JP, who described eternal life as the ultimate goal of Christianity, called on Christians to reflect on Paul’s statement “God, don’t let me out of your kingdom after working for you”.
He stressed that the honour of being written in the book of life s greater than the hnour of church positions such as knighthood, motherhood, fathers fellowship, youth fellowship and others.
The prelate enjoined knights to maintain every standard of the noble order and to attend church services regularly inorder to hear the word of God rather than other gatherings which do not glorify God.
