LG boss plans better school system … Stresses need for education

No nation can strive without trained quality teachers and sound education system.
Ahiazu Mbaise LGA Chairman, Chief Adauctus Onuoha, made the remark when the LGA new Education Secretary in the local government, Mrs. Stella Okorie, paid him courtesy visit in his office.
He asserted that the ability of a child to do well in life depends on a good foundation and lauded the lmo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha for sustaining the continuous free education policy from primary to tertiary institutions in the state.
He hinted plans to embark on tour of schools soon and warned against lateness, truancy, absenteeism while stressing need for teachers to be diligent, dedicated and take their note of lessons serious.
The LG boss disclosed that he would not tolerate ghost teachers and harped on the need  for teachers to be of exemplary conduct to entrench discipline in children.
Chief Onuoha said he is of the conviction that conducive teaching and learning environment gives good products and restated his commitment to giving schools in the area facelift.
Earlier, the new Education Secretary, Lady Stella Okorie, accompanied by the Head Administration and Supply (HAS) Mrs. Ngozi Onyedieke, Account Head, Pastor Uzoma Odom and Quality Assurance Principal Officer, Chief Florence Onyekwere said they came to congratulate the LG Chairman on his successful election and intimate him with their challenges
She announced plans to commence visit to schools, promising to work hand in glove with him boost teaching and learning in primary schools in the area while praying that they be carried along in the scheme of things.
