Vote buying is Satanic – Cleric

A pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Ayo Oluwatusin, has decried the act of vote-buying that occurred in Osun and Ekiti state governorship elections recently, saying that it was evil and Christians should shun it.
“Vote-buying is not godly, it is demonic, satanic, and dangerous and if it continues it will move Nigeria to a standstill position. Such act should not be happening among the Christians.”
Pastor Oluwatusin, who was speaking on the forthcoming general elections, urged Nigerians to collect their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) to enable them to perform their civic responsibility in the 2019 General Elections.
He stressed the need for righteous people to take over the leadership of the country, saying it could be achieved if every Nigerian participated in the forthcoming general election.
Oluwatusin, an assistant pastor in charge of Ondo Province 4 of the church, stated this during the province’s sanitation exercise in Akure, the Ondo State capital on Saturday. The exercise was themed ‘Connecting to the source.’
He said, “We must go out to collect our PVCs in order to vote for the candidate of our choice. As we are praying that God will install the righteous persons in Nigeria, we must also go out practically to vote for the right person, we must not allow evil people to rule us.”
