I will transform Imo State – Anumudu

The governorship candidate of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) Barr. Humphrey Anumudu has restated his position to offer effective and functional governance in Imo State if elected the governor. Barr. Anumudu maintained that his passion to govern Imo State is based on transforming the State to become a State to reckon with.
The Zenith Labour Party governorship hopeful made this known during the IBC Owerri Orient programme tagged “Matters Arising”. He stated that local government councils in Imo State must become effective in line with the constitution of the land via conduct of a credible, fair and acceptable election and by this; he added that rule of law will be restored for all. Barr. Anumudu stated that Imo economy will be managed in line with global best practices as to reduce wastages. He stated clearly that a lot of resources are wasted through corruption and as such; measures will be on ground to check mate same accordingly. As part of his programme to grow the economy of Imo State, he identified the need for private entrepreneurs and local government councils to be involved in establishing small scale businesses and agricultural farms; this he stated will reduce un-employment and youths restiveness in the land. In addition he has plan to establish a ten year development plan for the State in his bid to rebuild Imo.
On civil service, he stated that no civil servant will be sacked or relieved of his appointment, he added, issues of salaries, pension, and gratuity will be paid accordingly, as a worker deserve his wages.
The Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) candidate assured that the State would witness not only free education, but qualitative education that would improve human and infrastructural development in the State.
Barr. Anumudu stated clearly that his character, integrity and pedigree in life will be his driving passion to end wastages and corruption as to manage available resources for the transformation of the State. In this regard he opined that all the good projects of the present government in Imo State will be continued but that nonproductive projects that do not add value to the people and economy of the state will be discontinued for the interest of the good people of Imo State.
