Drivers charged to avoid acts that endanger lives

A call has once again gone to drivers to be road safety conscious and shun acts that could endanger their lives and that of passengers.
The Chairman National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Ahiazu Mbise LGA, Comrade Anayochukwu Acharike gave  the call in his New Year message to drivers.
He urged them to eschew drunkeness, reckless driving, dangerous overtaking, overspeeding, overloading as well as loading and offloading outside motor parks.
Comrade Acharike advised them against indiscriminate hike in transport fares to enable people go back to their respective places of work and business after the Christmas and New Year festivity as well as urged them to be fair and polite to passengers.
He wished all happy and prosperous New Year, stressing the need to make useful resolution for better turnaround of self and the society at large.
