Araraume is best next alternative – Duruji

All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) governorship hopeful in the rescheduled governorship and state Assemble elections in Imo State, Senator Godwin Ifeanyi Araraume, has been described as the best next alternative and a true deliverer on a divine mission to save the people of Imo State from the hands of Oppressors.
Hon. John Duruji, former Special Assistant on Protocol and special duties during the administration of Late Chef Evan Enwerem made this disclosure recently in Owerri while fielding questions from newsmen on state and national issues, especially on the 2019 general elections.
Hon. Duruji lamented that for the past eight years, under the administration of Owelle Rochas Okorocha, Imo State has been on the dark side of history, occasioned by inept leadership and conspiracy of silence, adding that the state needed somebody like Ifeanyi Araraume, who has the gut, the spine and the charisma to take the lion by the jugular in order to rescue and restore all that had been destroyed.
On what informed the choice of Araraume amidst legions of other governorship hopeful, the former special aide said that his humble disposition marks him out, adding that the senator is honest, an astute industrialist, well-established, not a con fellow, and would give good account of his stewardship, and that if Senator Araraume is voted into office, Imo State would bounce back on the part of economic, political, social and educational greatness for which the state was known.
On the Imo Charter of equity which allows each senatorial zone in the state to produce a governor at a particular period, Hon. Duruji blamed its failure on the inability of political leaders in Owerri zone, especially those on major political parties to forge a common front in order to win the support of their brethren from okigwe and orlu.
He however pleaded with all to support Senator Araraume whom he said would deliver the good and make Ndi Imo proud.
Asked to evaluate the eight years of the APC led administration in the state, the vocal commentator on national issues described it as a dark period of history in Imo State, adding that every system had broken down.
He said that the solid infrastructural put in place by previous administration had been destroyed and replaced with cosmetic and white elephant projects.
According to him what he saw written on all these poorly constructed projects is, “ROCHAS IS WORKING”. Philosophically he said; Rochas actually worked by destroying all the markets in the state, and chasing the traders out of business, he is working for not paying the pensioners their gratuities and pension and thereby chasing them to their early grave, he is working by short-paying the civil servants and teachers, and many other works that have held Imo State down.
On the Buhari-led Federal Government, Hon. Duruji said that from the onset the slogan had been “war against corruption and insecurity”, but today after four solid years, Boko Haram have overcome the entire North East with the Fulani herders taken the nation by the jugular.
Corruption have developed more wings with top government functionaries, and present governors involved, yet the administration is still shouting for war against corruption.
On the rescheduling of elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Hon. Duruji said that INEC did what it said was right, but quick to add that time would tell probably when INEC would be truly independent.
