Ministry scores Fed. Poly Nekede high

The Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity has scored the Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri high.
This was in response to an earlier inspection visit by the Ministry to the institution on 21st February 2019.
The Ministry commended the institution for making effort at ensuring the provision of safety working environment.
It also gave high marks to the school for its adequate level of compliance with demesticalised labour law, harmonious working relationship between management and staff as well as prioritization of staff welfare.
The Ministry also commended Fed. Poly Nekede for adequate compliance with health and sanitary provisions as well occupational safety provisions in the labouratories, workshops and other danger prone areas such as generators and transformers.
Reacting on behalf of the Rector, Rev. Engr. Michael Arimanwa, the school Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr. E.B. Nwosu expressed satisfaction over the development, adding it did not come as a surprise.
He recalled that another Federal Government Agency, The National Board for Technical Education has rated the institution as the best technical school in Nigeria.
Mr. Nwosu pointed out that Fed. Poly Nekede is conscious of their apex position in technical education in Nigeria and expressed optimism that the school will not only ensure its maintenance but will continue to attain greater heights.
According to him, the yardsticks for the high rating have been improved on and the Rector is determined to ensure that the institution remains first.
The PRO revealed that the Rector applied prayers, working with the heart and not with the head as well as team work approach to achieve that objective.
