NAPPS end workshop in Owerri

The 5th Annual Capacity Building Workshop organized by the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Imo State chapter for proprietors and teachers was held on Wednesday 12th June 2019.
The theme of this year’s workshop was “The Role of Teacher in Fixing the Broken Education System”.
The one-day programme, which took place at the Imo Broadcasting Corporation (IBC) Event Centre, Owerri, was well attended by proprietors and teachers from various private schools across the state.
In his address t the occasion, the Chairman of NAPPS, Imo State Chapter, Pastor Chris Ineh stated that NAPPS is poised to contribute its quota in making sure that the efforts of government in improving the standard of education is achieved.
He stressed the need for stakeholders to brainstorm and solutions to the numerous challenges  facing the  education sector in Nigeria and expressed optimism that the ultimate desire of NAPPS, which is “Nurturing for National Development” will be realized.
The workshop featured paper presentations by eminent resource persons which included Dr. Mrs. Pearl Onukwugha, Abdulrahman Ysuf M, a lecturer from the University of Port Harcourt and Dr. Chidi Maduka, a consultant.
Speaking to newsmen at the end of the event, the secretary General of NAPPS, Imo State Chapter, Mr. Nelson Ndukwu, who was vividly elated, expressed satisfaction over the event, describing the theme as timely.
