Bishop Osuegbu’s father-in- law buried

The Anglican Bishop of Okigwe, Rt. Rev. Edward C. D. Osuegbu, has lost his father-in-law, late Sir Geoffrey Samuel Anosike Ndubeze.
Reports reaching Christian Voice said that Sir Ndubeze was on Friday, June 28, laid to rest in his hometown, Uchuala Udo, in Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area, Imo State.
Preaching at the funeral service held at St. Thomas’s Anglican Church, Udo, the Rt. Rev. Geoffrey Okorafor, Bishop, Diocese of Egbu, urged the Christian faithful to be diligent in their services to God and humanity and not to use their position to abuse, or pay back evil.
The Prelate described the late Sir Ndubeze as a man who was passionate about God, a man whose desire was to finish his work here on earth and awaiting to receive his reward in heaven.
Bishop Okorafor encouraged the children of the deceased to take the path their father took following Christ.
In his own remarks, the Rt. Rev. Edward C.D. Osuegbu, Ph.D, JP, Bishop, Diocese of Okigwe, the son-in-law to the late Sir Ndubeze, affirmed that his father-in-law was indeed a gallant soldier of Christ, an evangelist of the gospel and a practicing Christian who impacted greatly into the lives of his children, sons and daughters-in-law, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Among the Bishops in attendance were, Rt. Rev. Chamberlin Ogunedo, Bishop, Diocese of Mbaise; Rt. Rev. Godson Ukanwa, Bishop, Diocese of Isi Mbano; Rt. Rev. Geoffrey Chukwunenye, Bishop, Diocese of Oru; Rt. Rev. Chijioke Oti, Bishop, Diocese On the Lake; Rt. Rev. Emmanuel Maduwike, Bishop Diocese of Ikeduru; and Rt. Rev. Aloysius E. Agbo, Bishop, Diocese of Nsukka.
Others are Rt. Rev. Chidi Collins Oparaojiaku, Bishop, Diocese of Ohaji/Egbema; Rt. Rev. Samuel Chukuka, Bishop Emeritus, Isiukwuato/Umunneochi; Rt. Rev. Bright Ogu, Bishop Emeritus, Mbaise Diocese and Bishop Henry Okeke of Mbamili Diocese.
Bishop’s wives, the Clergy and Church Workers and their wives, as well as dignitaries from all works of life were also at the service.
