Board of Trustees soon for “Bishop Geoffrey Enyinnaya Okorafor Empowerment programme”

Anglican Bishop of Egbu, Rt. Rev Geoffrey Enyinnaya Okorafor has revealed that a Board of Trustees will soon be constituted to manage the “Bishop Geoffrey Enyinnaya Okorafor Empowerment programme”. Bishop Okorafor who disclosed this when he addressed benefiticiaries of the 2019 Empowerment said the Board while managing the programme ensure that it goes beyond the shores of  the Diocese.
He said he was particularly touched by the plight of the down trodden in the society and opted to start with the Diocese of Egbu. The Bishop said he gives God the glory for the privilege of being the Bishop of Egbu, assuring that he will use the office to impact on people’s lifes. He pointed out the essence of the programme was to help people start something that would put food on their tables without their recourse to begging.
Bishop Okorafor  acknowledged that the programme was yet to take off fully, but maintained that when fully stabilised it would go beyond the confines of Egbu because there are people looking for similar assistance, he added  He further hinted that each year since his enthronment as the second Bishop of Egbu in 2013 he had always celebrated the anniversary and in 2017 he had the inspiration to use the platform of his enthronement anniversary  to empower some people that were in dire  need of help to the tone of N880,000.00.
Thanking the Bishop on behalf of other recipients, Mr. Cyril Chukwuemeka Oforum said their gratitude to the Bishop were immeasurable for lifting them out of their miserable situations.
He promised that they would make judicious use of the fund.Mr. Ofurum who is blind said by the Bishop’s gesture he can now replace his burnt grinding machine.
