Ihedioha signs into law SUBEC amended bill

Imo State Governor, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, has signed into law, a bill for the amendment of the Imo State Universal Basic Education.
Signing the bill on Thursday at the Sam Mbakwe Executive Chambers, the Governor described it as very necessary and important.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment toward providing qualitative education for Imo children.
Governor Ihedioha recalled that his administration, two days ago, awarded scholarships to three best performing candidates of Imo origin, in the West African Examination Council (WAEC) result, for first degrees in any tertiary institution of their choice.
The Governor noted that the bill is the forth bill he will be signing since assumption of office on May 29, 2019.
The Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Chiji Collins, the Deputy  Speaker, Hon. Okechukwu Onyekanma, majority leader, Hon. Chigozie Nwaneri, former Governor of Imo State, Chief Ikedi Ohakim, Imo Police Commissioner, CP Rabiu Ladodo, Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House as well as other government officials were all present at the ceremony.
