Ponder on why you were appointed – Bishop Okorafor tells political appointees

Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Egbu, Rt.Rev.Geoffrey Okorafor, has counseled all the 17 newly inaugurated commissioners Imo State to always reflect on the reasons for their appointments.
The Bishop Okorafor, who gave the advice during a Eucharistic service of confirmation, admission and induction for Okpala Parish at Zion Anglican Church , Okpala in Ngor Okpala LGA ,Imo State, said the expectations of Imolites were very high and urged them to help the governor realise his vision to rebuild the State.
He advised that they should constantly ponder on why they were appointed Commissioners, appreciating that the task before them  was to enhance good governance and serving Imolites deligently. He said they should work assiduously so as not to disappoint the governor and the Imo people
Bishop Okorafor commended the Governor of the State, Rt. Hon Emeka Ihedioha for the appointments, who now constituted his executive council which would expectedly help in the rebuild Imo State project.
He noted that the mixed reactions that followed the appointments and inauguration of the new cabinet was not unusual, stressing that the people have right to their feelings while acknowledging that it’s not possible to satisfy every interest. H he appealed to women coming for the 2019  August meeting otherwise referred to as Home and Abroad Meeting, to ensure that the platform was designed  for peace, growth and developments in their various Churches and Communities. He advised parents to exercise strict control over their children, ensuring  they had good and close observations of the company they keep or associate with during  their long holidays.
