The 2nd session of the 4th Synod of the Anglican Diocese of Ikeduru ends today with thanksgiving service and fund raising for Diocesan projects at St. Paul’s Anglican Church Umuhu Atta in Ikeduru Council Area of Imo State.
The four-day event which kicked off on Thursday, October 10, featured, among other activities, a pre-Synod crusade at the host church station, Presidential address and Bishop’s charge, courtesy call on some dignitaries within the host community, key note address as well as reading and presentation of reports by Archdeaconries and issuance of communiqué.
The event with a captivating theme, “FINDING FULFILLLMENT IN CHRIST” (Mark 10:21) have been soul refreshing and fulfilling.
In his Presidential Address and charge, the Bishop of the Diocese, the Rt. Rev. Emmanuel Maduwike JP, reminded the people of God that Jesus Christ remains the bedrock of our faith and life fulfillment.
According to him, faith in Christ banishes fears and other storms of life.
With comprehensive faith in Christ, all we owe and have belong to God and God expects us to give and share our resources with one another in true fellowship.
Dignitaries expected at the event include, top government functionaries, traditional rulers, politicians, captains of industries, religious leaders within and outside Anglican Communion, priests and more than 500 delegates.
St. Paul’s venue of the event had been a beehive of activities with parishioner and delegates exchanging pleasantries and congratulating one another and the Diocese for the conquest gathering.
