Mbieri agog … As community honours Bishop Chukwuma Oparah and wife

A grand reception in honour of the Anglican Bishop of Owerri, Rt. Rev. Chukwuma Oparah Ph.D, JP and his wife, Mrs. Chidiebere Oparah (Mama Owerri), holds today Sunday 3rd November, 2019 at Archdeacon Dennis Junior Seminary (ADJS) Mbieri in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State.
The epic ceremony is being organized by the Mbieri Anglican Community and the entire people of Mbieri in honour of their illustrious son, who was consecrated and  enthroned as the fourth Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Owerri in November last year.
The star-studded planning committee headed by Chief Sir Dr. Onyewuchi Asinobi, has left no stone unturned to ensure a successful and hitch-free reception for the Bishop and his wife.
According to the Chairman of the Publicity Sub Committee, Sir Martin Ebe, Chief Onyewuchi Asinobi, the Archdeacons and other members of the committee have shown great commitment towards the project and by the Special grace of God, it is going to be a resounding success.
Sir Ebe also commended other sons and daughters of Mbieri who contributed immensely towards the success of the day’s event.
Bishop Oparah, who was a lecturer and Head of the Department of Christian Religious Studies, Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education (A.I.F.C.E.) Owerri, hails from Amankuta Mbieri.
The Prelate, who recently turned 50, succeeded Rt. Rev. Cyril C. Okorocha, Ph.D, who retired in June 2018.
