Anglicans and their friends were in frenzy spiritual mood during the week as the four-day power-packed convention organized by the Anglican Diocese of Owerri, in conjunction with the Deliverance and Healing Unit of the St. Barth’s Anglican Church Aguda, Lagos, rolled off the ground at the Cathedral church of the Transfiguration of Our Lord (CATOL), Thursday, bringing healing, deliverance and fresh anointing to participants.
The spirit-filled convention, which attracted an unprecedented crowd, ends today in CATOL, with a thanksgiving service.
In his opening charge, the bishop, Rt. Rev. Chukwuma Oparah, Ph.D, JP, expressed gratitude to God for the vision of a global convention, which he said, was timely and explained that the programme is a gathering of God’s people within the Diocese and beyond.
He further pointed out that the primary aim of the programme is to reach the unreached with the Gospel of Christ and to prepare the faithful for God’s kingdom.
Bishop Oparah equally expressed optimism that Imo State will be transformed and empowered by God through ADOWPAC which has “The Manifestation of the Sons of God” as its theme.
The Bishop expressed appreciation to the convention planning committee, led by the Director of Mission and Evangelism, Ven. Paul Nwozuzu, as well as his team and the entire faithful of the Anglican Diocese of Owerri.
The proramme featured talks, Bible study, prayers, praises, self empowered, outreaches, Bible expositions, deliverance, healing, counseling as well as seminars on health, family life, leadership, etc.
